Scott,

The ATM forum can be a place for a love-fest...where we all sit in a
circle, hold hands, and sing Kumbaya.
The ATM forum can be a place where people discuss relative merits and
weaknesses of designs and concepts.
I prefer the latter.
It appears you prefer the former.
Yes, the stress in my life has leaked over to my posts recently...which
helps nobody...but I still think I am raising valid points...that is, if
you're interested in performance.
If you make a post to the list: "Gee, that all metal scope sure is
swell!"...what does a new ATM'er learn?
If I make a post about the same scope...and say..."truss design
concepts were not used in this scope, and it lacks stiffness...and here are
some links to examples of truss design concepts and truss
telescopes."...what will some new ATM's learn? Hopefully they will
learn a little about truss design concepts.

efforts.
See: http://overton.tamu.edu/aset/krajci/molded-worm/molded-worm.htm And
note near the bottom the section called "Lessons learned: (strengths,
weaknesses, and what I'd do differently if I were to rebuild the
system)"
I self-identify what is working well, working poorly, and how I would
improve the next attempt.
What comments would you like to add to those on my website about this
motorized telescope?
>I can't begin to grasp the feelings of those who created these scopes.
If they built their scopes for performance...they now have more ideas in
their kit bag to build a better performing scope.
If they are interested in the love-fest aspect of ATM'ing...I'll send them
your way for some ego stroking.

Define beauty.

If you are interested, I can send you a collection of notes and
observations from my time living in Tashkent. You may be surprised at the
examples of defeated human spirit and successful suppression by an
autocratic regime that abound in this place.

Again, if you are interested, I can send you a collection of notes and
observations from my time living in Tashkent. You may be surprised at the
examples of people that are not willing to fight for their right to
self-expression.
I have lived overseas before. I'm used to deployments...being in the
military for over two decades. This assignment has given me the most
culture shock I've ever had...and in some ways it's not getting better with
time.
