| subject: | Re: ATM making a Couder mask |
From: Guy Brandenburg To: Michael Burr CC: ATM list Reply-To: Guy Brandenburg Couder masks are really not so hard to make with a large piece of heavy paper (file folders work well), a compass with a good sharp pen or pencil in it, a good ruler, and a single-edge razor. I gave up on trying to print them a long time ago. The only hard part is the cutting. The calculations are not really hard, either, at least in my opinion, as long as you have a calculator. All you are trying to do is to get equal areas - or else not. And if you are unsure about what 3.4827 inches is (to pick a random number)on a fractional-inch ruler scale, just convert it to centimeters instead, remembering that by definition, 1 inch equals 2.54 centimeters. Works for me.
