exactly... i actually extracted the CRT module from my TP units so that i
don't have to worry about that flawed code... then i pulled all the good
stuff and used that with my own replacement routines for some others... i
don't recall any complaints from folks using my tools...

seems to me that it is easier to just patch the few bytes that are in the
flawed routine... sometimes some things are just over engineered ;)
