As I haven't built a refractor, my inquiry and thinking is purely prep work
for upcoming projects. Regarding testing, I have setup some refractor
objectives (a 6" askania triplet notably) in autocollimation and used
Foucault methods. I did not reduce these results other than to see that it
was well corrected for 3 general wavelengths. Not Apo, but better than a
fraunhofer doublet by far.
>With some cut-n-paste, I was able to get this into OSLO. A question:
At 565 nm, the P-V wavefront error at mid-field is better than lambda/40.
Would you use this information to test the final result or would you find
the predicted result at another wavelength and test against that?
