I doubt if this has anything to do with cerox per se. Changing to rouge
would probably only make it less obvious.

You may have a bad modulus between the arm swing and table rotation that
causes overly repetitious patterns.  There are many other possibilities
such as a drive pulley or belt with an uneven "v" that causes the
machine to change speed in some subtle, repetitious way.

Does the table rotation seem nice and continuous?  Does the arm vibrate, or
hesitate at the turn around?  Have you tried tracing out the stroke pattern
with a marker attached to the overarm rod holder?  Is the lap rotation
consistent or erratic?  Is the lap spinng much slower or much faster than
the mirror?
