RULES FOR AMIGA_PROG

All points linked into this echo are assumed to have read these rules
below and it is therefore assumed that you are familiar with them
and will abide by them.
Anyone found to be in breach of these rules will be warned in NETMAIL,
assuming that the netmail address they use is valid. failing that then
the moderator reserves the right to warn you in this echo. Anyone who
receives a warning may have their access reduced if they do not do
anything to rectify the situation.
The rules are laid down below so as to make life easier for other users
as well as the moderator. Please respect these rules and abide by them
at ALL times.
1 ABOUT THE ECHO
AMIGA_PROG is for the discussion of any Amiga Programming.
Discussion of anything programming related to the Amiga is perfectly
acceptable this also includes discussion of compilers and languages.
2 ADVERTISING
Advertising is strictly forbidden in the echo
3 BEHAVIOUR
All users are expected to act as civilised adults, treating each other
with courtesy and respect. Programing covers a wide area of topics and
as long as it is programming related to the Amiga then it is acceptable.
We ask that you do not cross the line into personal attack. As a guide
to whether or not a comment is acceptable, ask yourself whether you
would be happy if someone addressed your wife/husband/partner in that
way. This is *NOT* a flame echo and flaming will not be tolerated.
If you have a problem with another user then take it to *NETMAIL*
4 USER NAMES
We want to know who we are dealing with. Please use your real name in
the 'From' field of each message at all times. If for some reason you
cannot have your name in the from field then it MUST be clearly visible
in your signature.
5 TECHNICAL STUFF
To prevent technical difficulties, please restrict messages to those
characters you would expect to find on a typewriter keyboard. This
means no high-ASCII (except the pound sign) and no ANSI graphics.
6 DISCLAIMER
The moderator will not accept liability for any messages posted in
here. All messages posted represent the views of the author of the
message concerned and not those of the persons involved in
distributing the echo.
7 QUOTING TEXT
Please quote only enough to remind participants of what was previously
said. It is not necessary to quote headers, origin lines, or signature
lines. This will save your sysop's phone bills as well as your own.
Quoting well is considered good etiquette. Please only quote what you
feel is neccessary for the receiving person to understand what the
message is about.
PLEASE REFRAIN FROM QUOTING FULL MESSAGES WHEN REPLYING TO MAIL.
8 SIGNATURE LINES
Please restrict signature lines to 4 lines or less.
9 TAGLINES
Please feel free to add taglines to the end of your messages as it adds
a bit of humour to the message but please keep taglines to no longer
than 3 lines
10 LANGUAGE
The official recognised language of the echo is English.
11 TOPICS
If the subject changes from one message to another please amend the
subject line in any header to reflect this change.
12 MODERATION
These rules are laid down by the moderator and you are asked to abide
by same at all times. All moderation will be carried out in NETMAIL
but if this is not possible due to any technical difficulty then
moderation will be carried out in this echo. The moderator will at all
times try to use Netmail first followed by EchoMail should the netmail
not produce the desired result.
A user who breaks the rules will receive a written warning and upon a
user receiving a third written warning he/she may be banned from
having access to the echo.
