Hello Peter,
PC> Usually when people are trying to win your vote or that of an
PC> area, they either knock on doors, or they , at a reasonable time
PC> arrange a time and place for the majority to appear at to hear '
PC> them first speak giving the party platform and then what...and this
PC> is important what they are interested in seeing...as well what they
PC> will do for this area.
I only heard from 1 candidate. Called me on the phone and told me she was in a
wheelchair and that is why I never seen or heard anything about her. I hung up
shortly after the recording started.
PC> Only one candidate bothered to show up.
Non showed here at all. I see a lot of signs but that's it.
Stockwell Day is the MP here and he is very popular. I don't think anyone will
unseat him. He always gets something like 80% of the vote. Maybe that's why
noone even tries.
PC> This candidate spoke about a private member's bill to put
PC> FREE dental as part of the OHIP or Our national Medical plan.
I think that's a good plan. I'd like to see every persons basic needs covered.
I dunno how that could be covered though, I imagine the bill would be simply
huge.
PC> The others are wannabees that can not get to be candidates for
PC> these two top partys and thus join these other flakes and
PC> just split the vote.
On one hand I'd like to see a bit more control over who can run, but then that
kind of defeats democracy.
PC> If they wanted to...or if the Governor-General knew what she was doing
PC> she could have asked any of the leaders of any of the political partys
PC> to form a government....but we'll never know. Cannuckian.....eh?
I case like this last election when the PM just wants to "drop
it", I'd rather
see the runner up take power instead of a costly and pointless election.
Harper is such a weenie!
PC> "Rusty Mailbox" ???? I never knew my dog Rusty had one?
Yep, he can have one if he wants one.. :)
Ttyl :-),
Al
