Why aren't zombies plausible? Have you ever watched the Night of the Living 
Dead Trilogy?  The was caused by a meteorite that hit the earth spreading 
ome
chemical agent causing people into zombies and corpses to come alive.  If
zombies were to brought about with mystical rites you're gonna have to bring
along the demons too.  Anyone ever see the Evil Dead trilogy?  It's a great
example of undead creatures brought about by a book called the Necronomicron.
