If you design away the possibility of friction/stiction/sliding in your
entire cell/sling/support points/pivots/etc...you need never worry about it
anywhere in the mirror/cell. That is one advantage of using compliant
hinges, and bonding the mirror to the cell.

Other advantages include:
- no sling needed
- no clips needed
- no risk of mirror banging around on clips during rough
handling/transport
- cell bonded to mirror acts as convenient carrying handle.

Those must be awfully soft Teflon sliders. Are they as soft as warm putty?
Can you be more specific? Once we specify the softness of your particular
Teflon, we can run the numbers versus a mirror size and determine how much
collimation shift happens with changing mirror orientation. We can even
determine what diameter/thickness of Teflon pads would be
acceptable...depending on your design tolerances.
