This wasn't even 'not caring'. They just didn't want to look after
her themselves, or couldn't financially with one having to quit their
job to do so, and they didn't want to pay someone else to care for
her during the day until an opening came up. I can understand not
wanting to have to wait but jumping the line is just hurting other
people instead. More selfish than sick..
