If you want to try this route, an even better product for reducng surface
tension is probably Kodak Photoflow.  Get it from any place that sells
darkroom supplies.  My impression from reading darkroom how-to books is
that only a tiny amount of Photoflow is needed to stop water from beading
on film, so the same is probably true for this proposed application.
