It's been pretty dimmed for many years.  It is making a bit of a come back
this last year or so.  Look for the 'absense' of it first, then it will
gradually become clearer.  Also find out via various software or Sky and
Telescope when it is on the merdian before you look.  A blue filter will
also help.
