And you are certain I can't absorb iron or cerium from dust on doorknobs to
fingertips to mouth? The digestive tract can't break these down at all?
I'm comfortable if she ingests a little rouge. I'm not willing to risk the
cerium for now.
But it is instructive to review the MSDSes, which are a little reassuring
on the matter:
Rouge: http://www.newportglass.com/amsredrg.htm
CeOx: http://www.newportglass.com/amscerx.htm
Note that it says "Will release hydrogen fluoride in contact with strong
acids" like gastric juices.

Total nonsense! Cerium Oxide also contains an element that a pregnant
woman needs: Oxygen. Extending your logic, Plutonium Oxide should be
good
for you! Come to think of it, nerve gas has carbon, oxygen, and phosphorus,
all of which are essential elements in the human body. In the California
gas chamber, they use cyanide for executing criminals and innocent victims
of greedy American corporate capitalism. Cyanide is hydrogen, carbon, and
nitrogen, all of which are needed in the system of a pregnant woman.
Rouge is a very durable form of iron oxide that is ceramic in its physical
properties. It can not be metabolized. If you inhale rouge dust, you can
expect lung cancer, emphysemia, and other bad effects. The only
difference
between the two is visibility.
For further information, you can get the Material Safety Data Sheets for the
two polishing agents. It might be a good idea to review your high school chemistry.
