We've been lucky thus far, Winnipeg hasn't seen more than a couple of flakes of
snow this season, but winter is definitely on the way... as I write this it's
-9c with a wind chill of -17!  Looks like more of the same tomorrow for the
Remembrance Day service.

We had a bit of an indian summer a few weeks ago, unfortunately it didn't last.
 From what I understand, the so-called  Polar Vortex will be rearing its ugly
head again this winter, meaning another few months of consistent -40c temps. 
Apart from stubbornness, sometimes I wonder why I stay here ;)
