I may be a wimp, but my hands get incredibly sore from polishing. To get a
good grip and get the mirror moving requires that I grip with the edge of
the mirror pressing into the center of my palms. This causes considerable
pain after only about 15 minutes of polishing. My solution was to take some
old cycling gloves that have gel-padded palms and wear those while
polishing. This worked except they were a little slippery. So now I have
the gloves with two layers of rubber router pad glued to the palms. I now
get a great grip and have padding where I need it. If others are having
similar issues, I suggest they try this - you look stupid, but it sure
makes it easier to keep going.
