 As I begin to suspect that I might actually finish this mirror someday,
my thoughts are heading toward scope construction details. I have the tube
assembly pretty much figured out, but am looking for input on sources for
secondaries, focuser, and secondary holder and spider. I have used
Protostar's secondary holder and spider before and liked it quite a lot -
anyone have suggestions for better units? I could make something, but in
general, anything metal is better made by almost anyone other than me! Also
looking for a source for a very high quality secondary. Finally, I want to
go with a motorized and computerizable (is that even a word?) focuser. I
have looked at the JMI units and they seem solid. Anyone know of other
solutions they would recommend? Money is not a huge obstacle, but I don't
want to go totally nut$.
