The Department of Emergency Medicine and the School of Health
Technology and Management are pleased to announce That we are
accepting applications for our 1998-1999 Paramedic Program.
This program, which is held at the HSC Stony Brook New York,
will begin in late August 1998 and end in June 1999.
Class nights: Tuesday, Wednsday and Thursday (with occasional
Monday/Saturday)
Clinical rotations: Offered 7 days a week, 24 hrs/day with few
exeptions.
BLS and Paramedic Practicum-
St. Clare's Medical Center- Midtown Manhattan
Lutheran MC- Brooklyn
Maimonedes MC- Brooklyn
Mary Immaculate- Queens
Jamaica Hospital- Pending
ER, phlebotomy, OR, Morgue, Psych ER, Labor and delivery, Burn unit,
CCU, MICU, Cardiac cath lab,PICU, NICU, NYC medical control.
Prerequisites:
Current NYS EMT, passage of program pretest/interview, physical exam,
high school diploma
Application deadline: April 21, 1998
Pretest dates: Thursday April 23, 1998 at 7PM
Saturday April 25, 1998 at 11AM
Open house dates:
April 11, 1998 @ 11am
