Hi.
My hubby John and I have been involved in both flying and building kites
for eight years. We enjoy all aspects of kiting, especially introducing
the sport to those who haven't experienced its excitement. Each year,
we are involved with a kite day here in Berks County, Pennsylvania. It
gets
newspaper coverage, and we're happy with the turn out. I like to see
new
people enjoy the sport.
I'm now in the process of putting together a free monthly on-line
newsletter. It should contain information of interest to kiters and
non-kiters alike. In order to assure all aspects of our sport are
covered, I'd appreciate input and submissions from our fellow kiters.
I'd like to include all types of information including tips, upcoming
events, articles and anything else you feel may be of interest. Full
credit for authorship will be given for all contributions.
Each issue can be e-mailed to you (send me your email address) and a
history of all previous ones will be made available on the web at
http://www.1usa.com/Galeforce. I haven't found a good place on the
Internet for kiters to "hang out" and share enthusiasm (except for the
NewsGroups), so we're creating one on that website. It already includes
a NewsGroup and will soon have a Live Chat.
If anyone is interested in submitting ideas, articles, etc., please send
me a personal e-mail at Kitewoman@1USA.com.
Did you ever see a kite powered buggy traveling at 40 mph? John's into
that and steerable kites that fly on four lines, while I'm into
steerable kites that fly on two lines. Thanks.
Tracy
