I've rewritten the converter in C, and at the same time extended it so it
handles pointlists too. It's now *much* faster than the old Perl script,
and it compiles nicely on GNU/Linux, Win32 & OS/2. :-)

I'll make it available (with source) on the web in a while, I just want to
do some more checks first and update the rest of the files so everything is
in sync.

I have a couple of problems though:

1) When points are listed separately in a pointlist (not listed with
"point," in the nodelist) their boss node will be listed twice
(once for their nodelist data, and once as a place holder for the points),
like this:

It should be possible to somehow "rattle" the XML file so that
the points merge in under their boss node, and the node is only listed
once, but how? Any ideas? I've experimented with some XSL files but no luck
so far...


2) Why are all 8-bit characters censored from the Z2PNT-list? It used to
have them included... :-(
