Message-ID: Date: 29 Jul 89 04:03:24 GMT Sender: daemon@bloom-beacon.MIT.EDU Reply-To: di@hstbme.mit.edu (David Israel) Distribution: gnu Organization: Massachusetts Institute of Technology Lines: 17 References: I regularly use Gnu 18.54 on unix systems and do have the source distribution. I would also like to use it on a VAX-780 running VMS 4.7 which I use pretty often, but the system manager is not interested in installing and supporting it system-wide. I expect it would be difficult for me to install it from the source without his help. Thus I am looking for a set of executables that I could copy and run without system-level privileges for installation, etc. I need to know 1) if there is any reason I cannot do this 2) what files I will need 3) where I can get them, (preferably by FTP) 4) installation instructions, if any, for a non-VMS type My apologies if this is common knowledge. Thanks in advance for your help. David Israel (di@hstbme.mit.edu)
