  After posting a request here for a copy of the programs for uuencode  and
  uudecode  on  Monday,  I  received  about fifteen before Tuesday morning.
  Since then, I have received over two dozen more, PLUS offers to send them
  to me.  One person even told me that I probabily already have the source,
  but did not know it.  He said that they might be in  a  directory  called
  /usr/src/ucb/cmd.  He was right, they were there.

  I would like to thank everyone who responded.
